Having just finished Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man for the first time, I notice the following, hand written in black ink inside the back cover of my particular used copy of Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man: “And so he changes his attention to the less known art.”

I pick up my particular used copy of Ulysses and begin reading.
